Meme and other things.

My brother and brand new sister-in-law are coming back finally, from their honeymoon tomorrow. I am kinda worried that they're travelling on Sept 11th from Egypt of all places. *bites nails*

Anyway, onto a fun meme.

1) Illinois. I'm pretty content here, because most of my friends and family are in the area. Plus, I've lived here my entire life. But the weather is so much better in San Diego. :)

2) If I recall correctly, my first crush was on a kid named Mike when we were both in the first grade. Which would make us six. And therefore, there are no details, because, well, WE WERE SIX.

3) My favorite movie of all time is Star Wars--has been since I was four years old. I've always thought the original films were simply magical, and I really, really wanted to be a Jedi. My favorite TV show of all time is harder to call. I'd probably have to got with The X-Files, although CSI is a close second. I loved the mystery of XF, but honestly, the funny episodes were the ones I loved best. And I loved the dynamic between Mulder and Scully, which is why I basically ignored seasons 8 and 9.

4) I have my ears pierced (one hole in each ear), and that's it. Almost got a tattoo four years ago, but never went through with it. It was going to be a Celtic cross done in green and orange.

5) I think it would be really awesome to be able to "beam" myself places, kind of like the transporter on Star Trek. It would just make getting around so much easier...

Well by details I just meant did anything come of it, was it mutual...what did he look like (if you remembered) but yeah, not so much detailing. I get it. ;)

Exciting about your brother coming home, I hope it all goes fine, though I am sure it will.

1. I live in a suburb of NYC, and I would be pretty happy to end up here, but I would like to live in California and abroad before I settle down, here's hoping.

2. His name was Matt, I was 6, we were in frist grade. I don't really have details, he was cute, but it didn't last, my crush or his cuteness.

3. I honestly don't think I have a favorite movie of all time, seriously, there is none I could not live without that I can think of. TV show probably GG, it is the first good show I ever got into and just love and can watch over and over well that and boy meets world.

4. My ears are pierced and sometimes I want a tatoo on my shoulder or lower back off to a side, but there is nothing that I can come up with that I would actually want on my skin forever so that's a no go.

5. Flight, I have always wanted to fly.

1 - In Des Moines, Iowa at the moment. I plan to live in the Midwest when I grow up, likely in Wisconsin ... although Iowa is always a possibility. I love the weather here - seasons! Plus, the fact that I'm still in Packer country is nice too. :)

2 - Jake Dietzler. We were in kindergarten. Allegedly, I said to my (then) best-friend Sarah and her mom at some point, "Ah, Jacob. His name is music to my ears." What can I say? I must have been a dramatic 5 year old.

3 - TV Show = Veronica Mars. I have a tendency to overanalyze *everything*, and VM makes it easy for me to do that. The mysteries, the relationships, the characterizations, just ... everything about that show gives me so much to think about and try to figure out.
Movie = Changes with my mood, but Gattaca is up top now. I like the fact that it demonstrates a (possibly realistic) future in which genetic engineering is almost required to have one's child be a success. The great cast does a wonderful job of showing that "there is no gene for the human spirit."

4 - I have one piercing in each ear. And I don't really want any more. I'll need to look like a professional for work, and I'm not sure how professional that would appear, if I had body piercings and tattoos everywhere.

5 - I'd love the power to move from one location to another instantaneously. Because then I could visit my new cousin back home, or just go check out some part of the world and still be back in time for classes tomorrow. :)

1) Illinois. I like it here too, lol, it's my home, cheesy as it sounds; but I always get that feeling when I'm driving through town, etc. I was actually born in Florida, but almost all of my relatives and extended family are here, plus my parents were born and raised here, so yeah, lol.

2) My first crush? Oh wow, lol. Well I think the FIRST one was this boy I still know today, lol I went to school with him up untill we graduated h/s this past year. Nick Stazzone, lol, we were both in 2nd grade.

3) TV show is really hard to pick, but it would probably be either Gilmore Girls or Sex and The City. Both of them just make you feel good, lol, and plus the dialog and acting are so awesome; shows that you don't mind getting into a bit.

4)LOL my ears are pierced, no tattoos, and I honestly don't want any, I thought about it but never seriously (they're so dark, I have really fair skin, lol-- ick). I've also thought about my belly button, lol but I think it would hurt too much.

5) Oh, lol definitely flight, like Susie said. Flying would be awesome, and so much faster. Like teleporting would be cool, but with flying you could get the scenic route, hee.

1. Westchester, New York... (Oh my Comic book Geekiness loves that! - Referencing the fact that Xaviers School for the Gifted is in Westchester!). I'm really happy here for now... 5 months down and 7 more to go! I want to go back to Sydney, Australia eventually... but I have many places to see and visit first... Spain and Britain are calling!

2. His name was Phillip and I was completely in love with him. He lived in the house behind ours and me being the little tomboy I was, used to hang out with him constantly. In my efforts to impress him, I played with Shira - Princess of Power while he played with He-Man and Castle Greyskull. If he climbed a tree, I would climb higher. We used to bond over attempts to break our legs so we'd miss school. We used to share everything... Even hospital time. When I was in having my tonsils out, he was in having his appendix out... Of course, we were at the stage of 'eewwww boy/girl germs' but we were lucky enough to share a room. He now has a girlfriend that is about 7 years older than us and has 4 kids. He's still cute though! (enough details?!)

3. Fave tv show... Probably have to go with Buffy, I quote no other show like that one. And movie... Labyrinth!! Classic.

4. My ears are pierced once each, though at one point in time there was about 7 holes in each ear. My bellybutton is peirced, I also want my nipple done. I have one tattoo on my shoulders (wings) I have had them for about 8 years now... long before Nicole Richie got hers and made them famous.

5. (Awesome question!) I would like the ability to either mimic how someone else looks and sounds, a la Mystique of X-men or to be able to absorb other mutants powers, a la Rogue of X-men.

1) I live in Northern Virginia, because it's completely more descriptive than just saying my town or the state alone. NoVA has a stigma. Unrealistically, I'd relocate to Fiji, you know, once I'm independently wealthy. Realistically, London. It's one of the few big cities that I like, and if I go into my intended career, it wouldn't suck.

2) Charlie. Preschool. He kissed me and I pushed him to the bark on the playground. He was hella cute. I remember golden hair and blue eyes; one of the few blondes I ever crushed on.

3) TV: Popular. There are plenty of good shows I love now, but there's something about the way they completely embraced the absurd midway through season one that cracks me up. And, I mean, freaking Mary Cherry. Movie: None to speak of. Currently, I've fallen back in love with His Girl Friday, but that's just my classic movie obsession.

4) One hole in each ear. Never met a tattoo I could commit to in terms of watching it stretch, sag, and morph into something terribly unlike the original design.

5) Something akin to having a Babelfish, tweaked. Ability to speak, understand, read, write, translate all languages. How awesome. No need for subtitles in movies, open up a world of literature, I'd actually understand all the random music I listen to, and I would totally kick ass on The Amazing Race. ;)
